Mindful Misfits Recovery Group
A mindfulness-based therapy group for people in recovery from addiction, trauma, and life — rebuilding connection, identity, and emotional resilience.
What does “recovery” mean here?
Recovery isn’t just about sobriety. For many of us, recovery means learning how to live in our bodies, build relationships that feel safe, regulate emotions, soften shame, and reconnect with meaning and purpose.
This group uses mindfulness, somatic awareness, and process-based therapy to explore:
Identity after change or loss
Relationships and belonging
Addiction & compulsive behaviors
Trauma recovery
Emotional regulation
Self-compassion & shame resilience
Purpose & values
If you’ve ever felt “too much,” “not enough,” or like you never fully fit into the world — you’re in the right room.
A process group — not a class
This is not an educational class or skills workshop. It’s a facilitated therapy group where members interact, share, and reflect in real time. That means the work happens in the room — through mindfulness, curiosity, and relational honesty.
Who this group is for
This group is for people who are:
In recovery from addiction, trauma, or life transitions
Curious about mindfulness & process groups
Ready to connect with others
Willing to explore emotions and patterns
Interested in rebuilding meaning and identity
You do not need to be sober, in AA/NA, or in treatment. Many members are “post-treatment,” “sober curious,” or navigating recovery in their own way.
